Folksworth 15M
A team consisting of 15 BRJ members completed this tough run in what was probably the best weather conditions for many years. The race is reknown for being a great pre-spring marathon tester. The race was also the “Nominated” event for January in the 2025 Senior Running Champs & the Cambs AA Road League competition.
The 15 members produced 4 new Club PB’s, 6 members making Club 15M Debuts & Annette Newton securing Gold medal position in her Age Category.
Joe Harding led home the team finishing just over 1 minute outside his current Club PB 15M set here in 2023. Joe was again closely followed home by Paul Mitton who was one of the 4 PB’ers. Women’s Captain Felicity Baillie, also a PB’er today, was our leading lady ahead of Amanda Roland-Convey. It was great to see Belinda Parker back in competitive action again & finishing just 1 Min 25 Secs shy of her Club 15M PB set at 2017’s Folksworth.
The 4 PB’ers, in descending order of merit, were Neil Whitaker by 6 Mins 12 Secs compared to Folksworth 2024, Jon Daulton by 4 Mins 7 Secs from 2024 , Paul Mitton by 1 Min 53 Secs from 2024 & Fliss Baillie by 1 Min 36 Secs from 2024
