Parkrun Junior 2K
At Jubilee Park, 3 Junior BRJ’ersĀ braved the cold & wintry conditions. Ethan Ward took the runners up position followed by Alexander & Eloise Eason.
Parkrun 5K
The weather took another turn with flooding & icy conditions resulting in numerous Parkrun cancellations across the country. As a result only 44 BRJ’ers recorded a Parkrun finish
BRJ’ers returned to Belton House, Clare Castle, Coldham’s Common (Course Bests for Sophie Coe, Stanley Coe & Paul Mitton), Delaware & Raritan Canal (1st place for Simon Moore), Grovelands Enfield, Hackney Marshes, Hunstanton Promenade, Irchester Country, Milton Keynes, Pocket, Preston Park Brighton (5th place for Alex Mitton), Sloughbottom, Storeys Field (Course Best for Kate Ruddock) & Whittlesey. At Midenhall Hub, Colin Reeve missed a new Club PB by just 8 Secs.
2 BRJ’ers made Parkrun Venue Debuts by Alice Noyes at Bay East Garden (Singapore) & Jessica Barrett-Drylie at Whitekirk Hill (North Berwick, Scotland)
Hatfield 10K
Kathy Unwin was among the 374 finishers. Her time of 1:06:05 in position 311 makes her the first BRJ Senior to secure a new Club PB in 2025. This represented a PB by 1 Min 22 Secs compared to the Cambridge 10K held on 30 June 2024.
Northampton 10K
As part of her training campaign ahead of April’s London Marathon, Kim Olivier was among the 169 finishers in the Northampton 10K. In her Club Debut 10K, Kim finished in a time of 1:22:08.
2025 Cambridgeshire AA County Cross County Champs
The 2025 Cambs AA Cross County Champs returned to Priory Park, St Neots. The event coincided with the first snowfall of the year although by the time of the 1st race, the rain had turned much of the snow in to slush making the going somewhat muddy, especially for the participants in later races. BRJ participation by BRJ members was much reduced compared to many previous years meaning that BRJ only posted a team result in the U11 Boys & Senior Men (Masters) competitions. The Results were:
Under 11 Boys
The race was run over 1.7K with 43 finishers. 5 boys represented BRJ These were Jack Scott (4th position in a time of 00:07:26), Thomas Hunt (26th in 00:08:39), George Jenner (37th in 00:09:05), Stanley Coe (41st in 00:09:25) & Adam Spratley (42nd in 00:09:35). BRJ finished 5th from the 8 teams.
U13 Boys
The race distance of 2.9K saw 23 finishers. The BRJ participants were Joey Phillips (6th in 00:11:38) & Ethan Ward (13th in 00:12:32).
Senior LadiesĀ
The event was run over a distance of 5.8K. Pippa Waite was the sole BRJ’er within the 44 finishers completing the distance in position 31 in 00:30:15
Senior Men
The race distance was 10K with 101 finishers. The 4 BRJ’ers were Keelan Duffy (14th in 00:37:58), Mark Jackman (83rd in 00:51:55), David Ward (89th in 0:53:50) & Gilles Corby (90th in 00:53:59). The 3 Masters were the 16th team from 19.
