Parkrun Junior 2K (29 December)
4 BRJ’ers were in action at 2 venues.
Jubilee Park #310 – Alexander Eason led home the “BRJ 3” with both Baxter Gilkison & Eliose Eason (in her 125th Junior Parkrun) making their Club 2K Debuts.
Cambourne #154 – Finley Harrison took 1st place overall finishing just 6 Secs shy of his existing Club 2K PB.
Parkrun 5K (28 December)
A total of 96 BRJ’ers Parkran with returns to Aviemore (#150 for Juliet Aungier), Burgess, Coldham’s Common, Ferry Meadows (Debut Club 5K by Jenna Marshall), Fulbourn Hospital, Hastings High School (#100 for Douglas Rowan), Irchester Country, Jubilee, Longrun Meadow, Milton Country (#75 for Colin Reeve), Panshangar, Pocket, Princess Liverpool, Swaffham, Whittlesey (3rd place for Neil Whitaker), Woolmer & Deal Seafront & York. At Bug Hunter Waters, Junior Finley Harrison secured a new Club 5K PB (#7 of 2024) by 1 Min 41 Secs compared to Pocket #242 of 17 August & Mick Brosnan achieved a Course Best).
BRJ’ers made Parkrun Venue Debuts at Beacon (by Gareth Thomas in Parkrun #150), Cockermouth Greenway (Kim Olivier) & Ingreborne Hill (Alice Noyes).
At Huntingdon, Will Dales & Keelan Duffy secured 2nd & 3rd places respectively whilst there were Parkrun Milestones for Richard Braddick (#75) & Nigel Maggs (#225). It was great to see former member Emma Figures at the event pushing her new baby in a pram.
