PARKRUN 2K
Some superb Junior performances in BRJ returns to 3 local events:
Jubilee Park #304 – Benjamin Riley made his Club 2K Debut.
Milton Keynes #405 – Maxwell Evans achieved a new Club 2K PB with a 25 Sec improvement over his time set at Jubilee Park #302 of 27 October (PB #2 of 2024).
West End #154 – Isaac Friswell secured the Runners-Up position.
PARKRUN 5K
The weekend saw BRJ’ers returning to Aylesbury (Parkrun #75 by Nicola Sparkes), Bug Hunter Waters (Course Bests for Anthony Charters, Steve McNicoll, Phil Pearsons & IAN WILSON), Castle Park, East Park, Great Dunmow, Greenpoint (Cape Town, South Africa), Pocket, Storeys Field & Wimpole (Course Best for Junior Stanley Coe).
Norwich #673 saw John Clark make his Course Best with Adam D’Souza going 1 better by securing Club PB #23 of 2024 by a 17 Sec Margin compared to his performance at Norwich #664.
New Club 5K PB’ were also achieved at Coldham’s Common by Stefan Grandjean-Thomsen by a 16 Sec margin compared to Huntingdon #519 (PB #3 0f 2024) & by Kathy Unwin at Peel by 17 Secs compared to Mid-September’s Storeys Field #158 & also securing PB #6 of the year.
Club Chair, Claire Ashton, made a Club Parkrun Debut at Happy Valley (Akrotiri, Cyprus) which is one of a few Parkruns that are held in a military secure areas thus not available to the General Public.
At Huntingdon, 4 BRJ’ers finished within the top 10 led home bt Cameron Taylor-Hall & included a Course Best for Andrew Stevenson.
George Munday 10K
The 319 finishers included Richard Orrell. Former BRJ member, James Orrell, took the overall race win with Richard finishing in position 169 in s time of 00:50:44.
Rutland Water Night 10K
From the Race HQ at Normanton, their were 2 10K races available, one on the Friday night & the other on Saturday. 3 BRJ’ers were among the 666 finishers opting for Saturday. Tom Brand led home the BRJ squad ahead of Paul Treadwell who was participating in his 2nd 10K race of the day. Kathryn Green made her Club 10K Debut. The full suite of results were:

Remembrance Run 10K
The course was based around the site of former WW2 airbase, RAF Debden, which is now occupied by the Army & known as Carver Barracks. 3 BRJ’ers were among the 215 finishers. Richard Braddick led home the BRJ squad just 30 Secs shy of his existing Club 10K PB. Next home, Paul Treadwell, was takig part in his second race of the day.
Pick of the bunch was Lee Watkins who secured a new Club 10K PB by a 39 Sec margin compared to her run in July at the St Albans Summer 10K. This was PB #5 of 2024. The full suite of results were:
