George Jenner took 1st place overall at Jubilee Park just ahead of Alexander Eason.
Parkrun 5K
BRJ’ers returned to Ashbpurne Recreation Ground (Parkrun #200 for Kathy Unwin), Bug Hunter Waters, Great Denham (1st lady for Felicity Baillie), Soham Village College (2nd place & Course Best for Simon Mayes), Storeys Field, The Plens, Westpark (Munich, Germany) & Woodhouse Moor.
Mark Jackman, a very well travelled Parkrun tourist, made a Club Venue Debut at Dereham #3.
At Huntingdon, 2 members secured new Club 5K PB’s. These were Robin Cooper by 4 Secs since Bug Hunter Waters #5 (Club PB #14 of 2024) & Paul Beeson by 33 Secs since June’s Huntingdon #499 (PB #4). Karen Childerley made her Club 5K Debut & Joe Harding completed Parkrun #50.
York 10K
New members Ashley Benningfield & Claire Raywood ventured to York making their Club 10K Debut amongst 4,973 other successful finishers. They both used this event as a fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Charity. Ashley finished in position 2,898 in 1:01:35 & position 4,666 for Claire in 1:19:58.
Bedford Autodrome 16M
Adam D’Souza was the sole BRJ’er participating in 1 of the various running distance events being staged at the Bedford Autodrome, the former home of the Royal Aircraft Establishment. In his Club 16M Debut, Adam finished in 7th position from the 26 participants in a time of 2:07:31 & taking the Bronze Medal in his Age Category.
