Parkrun 5K
There were more weather related Parkrun cancellations thus members travelled further afield with returns to Brundall, Centennial (Sydney, Australia), Coldhams Common, Corby, Highbury Fields, Holkham, Houghton Hall, Irchester Country (Parkrun #250 for Clive Best), Letchworth (5th place for Neil Whitaker), Mildenhall Hun (5th place & 1st Female for Felicity Baillie), Milton Country, Sandringham, Stevenage, Storeys Field (Course PB’s for Claire Ashton & Juliet Aungier), Wimpole, Woodhouse Moor (1st place for Keelan Duffy) & Yarborough Leisure Centre.
At Southampton, Adam D’Souza secured a new Club 5K PB by a 36 Sec margin, his 3rd Club PB of 2024. At Preston Park, Alex Mitton was the unluckiest BRJ’ whose finish time was a Course PB, but 2 Secs shy of his current Club 5K PB.
BRJ’ers made Parkrun Venue Debuts at Hellbrunn (Salzurg, Austria) by Mark Jackman & Whangarei (New Zealand) for Alice Noyes.
Corby 10K
At late result from 4th February which saw Paul Treadwell compete among the 142 finishers in position 74 in a time of 1 hour dead.
Stamford 30K (Updated Result)
The Race Organisers recently issued revised finish times reflecting an updated (lower) number of finishers & have also provided Chip rather than just Gun timed results. This change is great news for our participants because all their Chip finish times are slightly quicker than previously reported. As the Race Results service did not allow a search “by club” I missed that Ian Percy, using the race as part of his training campaign for the London Marathon, made his Club 30K Debut. The revised results are
