At Cambourne, Junior Jack Hutchinson made his Club 2K Debut, finishing in 5th position.
Parkrun 5K
BRJ’ers made returns to Dalby Forest, Hafan Pwllhelli (Course PB for Tony Foster), Hereford, Letchworth, Lordship Recreation Ground, Rushcliffe, Westmill (Course PB for Mark Jackman) & Wimpole.
At a sunny Huntingdon, there were ew Club PB’s for Mica Covell (by 37 Secs) & Andrew Stevenson (by 34 Secs). In addition, Simon Moore secured a Course PB & Coach Paul Mitton completed Parkrun #300 (#250 at Huntingdon). Anna Best shared her significant birthday with the 235 Parkrunners making a Debut Run in a new Age Category.
Junior Mini-Marathon 2.6K
The “Nominated” event for June in the 2023 Junior Running Championship was a 2.6K Mini-Marathon held at Hinchingbrooke Country Park. A fantastic turnout of 25 Juniors completed the event the times which are detailed below. The Age Graded scores counting towards the Junior Champs are detailed in the results list.

The “Nominated” event for July takes place on the 12th July which is the Peterborough Grand Prix Junior 3K at Ferry Meadows, Peterborough.
Silsoe Stride 10K
In very hot conditions, Anna & Clive Best completed this event as part of Anna’s personal challenge to complete 7 x 10K’s in 2023. It seems that 80 finishers ran over a course that significantly exceeded the advertised distance, with Clive finishing in 47th in 1:07:37 & Anna in 70th in 1:26:42. Both secured Age Category podium positions.
Ramsey Abbey Junior 2.4K & Senior 10K
The hottest day of the year, a challenging 31 degrees, faced both our Junior & Senior athletes.
Junior 2.4K – All but Tom Sheldon made their Club 2.4k Debuts, Henry Reeve secured a top 3 finish position of the 25 participants & 3rd in his Age Category. Their results were:-

Senior 10K – 18 Seniors braved the hot conditions to participate in the “Nominated” event for June in the 2023 Senior Running Champs. The squad was led home by Joint Club Mens Captain Paul Mitton, whilst our leading Woman was Joint Club Captain, Felicity Baillie. Unsurprisingly in the tough conditions there were no Club PB’s secured today. However, Karen James & Caroline Tiller both made their Club 10K Debuts and 6 BRJ’ers secured Age Category podium positions,
