Both Joseph & Oliver Carmody completed their Club 2K Debuts.

David Spurle made a BRJ Debut at Pavilion Gardens.
At Huntingdon, Ian Percy secured a Course PB but missed a Club 5K PB by just 2 Secs. Ruth Foster, returning to running for the first time since sustaining a nasty fall induced hand injury, completed Parkrun #225.
Stort 10M
Our Women’s Captain, Felicity Baillie, was the sole BRJ’er participating in this Bishop’s Stortford based trail event. 2 measured & chip timed race distances were available, 5 miles (1 lap) & 10 (2 laps). The route consisted a mix of farm tracks, footpaths, wooded trails & very short sections of road. As with most of our roads these days, potholes on the trail section were much in evidence to catch out the unwary runner.
The 10 mile start was delayed by 20 minutes following the discovery of a large swarm of bees. This meant that the course had to be diverted and the race distance reduced to just 9 miles. Despite the various challenges, of the 247 finishers, Felicity completed the shortened distance in position 28 in a time of 1:08:39.
