4 BRJ’ers participated at Jubilee Park with Ethan Ward taking 1st place.
Parkrun 5K
BRJ’ers made returns to Armley (1st place & Course PB for Keelan Duffy), Brandon Country Park, Hove Promenade (Course PB for Alex Mitton), North Walsham, Pocket, Storey’s Field (Course PB for Kate Ruddock) & Whittlesey.
BRJ’ers made Club Debuts at Haigh Woodland by Kelsey Crickmore, Leinpfad (Germany) by Mark Jackman & University of Stirling by Stuart Turner.
At Huntingdon, Felicity Baillie was the 1st female & Annette Newton completed Parkrun #250.
Sheffield Steel Cup (Indoor Track Meeting)
Keelan Duffy competed in both the 1500 Metre & 1 Mile track events. In the 1500 Metres, Keelan finished in 4th place from the 11 participants in a time of 00:04:18.
In the 1 Miler, Keelan’s PB time of 00:04:46 exactly matched that of current Club 1 Mile record holder, David Hudson, that he set at Westminster back in May 2018. Keelan finished in 3rd position of the 89 participants.
York Even Splits 5K
Keelan Duffy secured his 2nd Club PB in as many days by finishing in position 7 of the 83 competitors in a time of 00:16:11, representing a 10 Sec improvement on his previous 5K PB set in Leeds in November 2022.
Stamford 30K
Fantastic weather conditions for long distance running was experienced by the 478 finishers in this picturesque, but very undulating course. The in-form Paul Mitton led home the “BRJ 3”, his finish time secured a 2 Min 57 Sec PB compared to his run in 2022. Caroline Tiller also earned a Club PB, by a margin of 2 Mins 1 Sec when compared to the 2022 race. The results, including the Age Graded scores carried into the 2023 Senior Running Championships, are detailed below.
