Parkrun 5K – BRJ’ers made returns to Barclay, Dunfermline, Dunstable Downs, Edinburgh, Market Rased Racecourse, Pocket (Course PB’s for Keelan Duffy, Alison Orrell & Richard Orrell), Salcey Forest, Sandringham & Town Moor. At Storeys Field, our 3 participants all secured new Club 5K PB’s (Neil Whitaker by 17 Secs, Sam Hathaway by 32 Secs & Stuart Hathaway by 33 Secs).

Ainslie & Tracey Bousfield made BRJ Debuts at the Northwich Parkrun.

At Huntingdon, 3 individuals secured improved Club PB’s, namely Ian Percy by 13 Secs, Jonathan Harding by 16 Secs & a superb 2 Mins 26 Secs for Karen James.

Media City (Manchester) 5K
William Dales took 3rd position from the 112 finishers with his first Sub-17 Min 5K in a 2 lap flat fast course around Manchester’s Media City. His time of 16 Mins 52 Secs secured a 15 Sec Club 5K PB when compared to the time he set at Huntingdon Parkrun back in August 2021. Will is now the 6th fastest BRJ Man over 5K, up from 8th position, overtaking the PB 5K times set by Club Captain Alan Hannibal & Rob Farrant.

Northampton 10K
Alex & Paul Mitton were the sole BRJ entrants & both running Sub-40 Mins for the 1st time. “Coach” Paul was first BRJ’er home in 35th position of the 744 finishers in 39 Mins 15 Secs, a new Club 10K PB by a margin of 1 Min 2 Secs compared to the time Paul set at Silverstone in October 2021. Paul’s new time places him in Club Records 1 position & 4 secs shy of the Club PB set by son Daniel Mitton. Alex finished in 41st position in 39 Mins 40 Secs resulting in a 21 Sec PB at the same Silverstone race.

Edinburgh 1/2 Marathon
Jessica Barrett-Drylie, Phil Pearsons & Ian Wilson were among the 9,906 finishers in the 1/2 Marathon running alongside the Full Marathon. Their stats were:-

Edinburgh Marathon
Following a freak biking accident that resulted in an injury to David Newton, just 3 BRJ’ers were amongst the 8,556 finishers in this Marathon. Amanda Roland-Convey led home the squad followed by Annette Newton, who secured runner-up place in her Age Category, missing 1st place by just over 1 Min. Tom Brand, making his Debut Club Marathon, became the latest member to join the “BRJ Marathon Club”. Their finish stats were:-
