Weekly Roundup 27/02/21

posted in: Runs | 0

Hoorah! It feels that there is definitely light at the end of this particularly long and gruesome tunnel.

Provided that the current dates don’t change, and we remain Covid compliant, it looks like:

  • From 29th March – club runs and track can resume. Dependent on the track being open and EA guidance. Outdoor swimming can also start, although we generally wait until late April for the water to warm up. Rachel Miller will be looking for volunteers to support her on the lakeside and in the water.
  • From 12th April – public pools will be open for individuals – no coached groups
  • From 17th May – coached swimming

I would add though at the time of writing we have just received the EA guidance and need to confirm the details.

AGM

Information on the AGM is now in the online calendar
A link to the AGM will be emailed out in the week before the AGM. Please check your junk mail, then contact me if you haven’t received it.
A brief summary of each role is also on the website – if you are interested in any role, please contact the current holder for further information.

Tier 60 Trial – Event 4

This Saturday is the last day of this event and results should be sent to email hidden; JavaScript is required on Sunday. The results will be posted on the website early next week. The final Tier 60 Trial will run from Sunday 28th to Saturday 13th March.

Ouse Valley Way Marathon

It is with regret that the commit have decided to cancel the Ouse Valley Way Marathon this year. It has been a very difficult year for everyone. When government guidance permits we wish to put all our efforts into getting our club activities back up and running again. We are concerned that the major Spring marathons this year have been rescheduled to September and October which compromises our ability to attract entries and recruit volunteers to make our trail marathon viable.
