” Twisted Blisters more than held the lead this week with great
performances from all team members. Adrain Beer beat James Orrell’s
record run last week with a fast 16 minutes 31 seconds. Shelley Duffy
retains the fastest woman in the relay ( 20 minutes 38 seconds). For the
first time both Adrain and Rob Farrant scored an age grading above 80%
which puts them in a “national” class of running. The Outsiders were in
second team place and the Hemchester Harriers came third. However I
think we are all winners because we are getting out and running in spite
of Covid and the current restrictions. Good luck to everyone for Race
Three. Remember you can change the route of your team relay. There are
only a few stipulations, it has to be mainly on road although a path or
a trail is fine. It can be downhill but only for part of the 5K. It is
expected if you go down you have to run up as well. Can everyone make
sure they give their times to the team captains as soon as they can so
the results can be collated in good time.
