Please be aware that you will be running on the public highway. Please cross the road with care and be alert for traffic at all times.
The start is on the corner at the entrance to the primary school/playing fields. Runners head along the footpath on the right hand side of the road for about 400m before crossing over. Run along the left hand side of the road on the pavement and continue out of the village until you reach the turnaround point. Run back along the left hand side of the road (ie as you are facing the road), until you reach a bend where you should cross back to the right hand side when safe to do so. Continue on the right hand side using pavements where possible until you reach the marshal to cross back to the left hand side shortly before the finish. The finish is on the corner at the entrance to the school/playing fields.
The course – 10k
The 10k route starts on the playing field. Runners go in a clockwise direction around the field doing one lap before exiting through the gate and down the entrance road to The Causeway.
Once down on the Causeway runners turn right and head along the footpath on the right hand side of the road for about 400m before crossing over. Run along the left hand side of the road on the pavement and continue out of the village past the 5k turnaround point until you reach the second turning on the left signed for Little Staughton. Turn left and continue to T junction, turn left and go up the road to the 5k turnaround point. Turn around and cross the road. Run back along the left hand side of the road (ie as you are facing the road), until you reach a bend where you should cross back to the right hand side when safe to do so. Continue on the right hand side using pavements where possible until you reach the marshal to cross back to the left hand side shortly before the school. Turn up the road to the school and go through the gate to the playing field. Turn left on to the playing field and complete one lap of the playing field, finishing near the start.
