A great run by Dave Hudson leading everybody home. A fantastic finish
time 33 minutes 16 seconds. It was slightly slower than his estimated
time but he didn’t account for the gates (not a usual feature of his
races). James Orrell was next home in 38 minutes 49 seconds, over two
minutes inside his estimated time Finishing third Alex Mitton , 45
minutes 46 seconds just outside his estimated time.
Mel Wiffin was the first woman home, fourth overall in 47minutes 7
seconds Nicki Mahan and Alison Orrell tied for second place running
exactly the same time, 48 minutes 18 seconds, with Ruth Foster third
woman to finish in 49.44 minutes.
Ian Wibberley paced the course perfectly finishing only one second
inside his predicted time, 49 minutes 58 seconds. Rachel Hodge was only
9 seconds outside her predicted time, 1 hour 15 minutes 9 seconds. Lots
more great performances today which I could mention.
As always the BRJ volunteers were brilliant including the timekeepers
and the marshals.
Our lives are very different than they were at the beginning of the
year. We cannot run the races we had planned. However we can still run
and race together. When we do we renew friendships and rekindle that BRJ
spirit of being together and having fun.
