All smiles after 20 miles

Tarpley 20 is a very popular race for those in training for the Spring
Marathon Season. BRJ  runners in the 10 and 20 mile races  faced strong winds and at time driving rain
around the quiet country roads of Essex. Over 20 miles  Annette Newton secured a first place in her
age category VF65 in 2 hours 54 minutes 55 seconds. Other BRJ members
included: Alice Synge (2.44.20) Amanda Roland-Convey (2.53.33) a PB, Alice
Edwards ( 2.53.31) Dan Ainscow ( 3.29.36) Jacqui Moore (3.51.47).

Rae Maynard completed the Tarpley 10 in 1hour 43 minutes 25 seconds
ahead of Jane Ainscow (1.54.26)

Stamford 30K which was postponed from Sunday 16th February thanks to Storm Dennis. The hilly course was made more challenging by the strong and blustery winds.

Dave Hudson secured a well earned second place ( 1 hour 43 minutes 54
seconds ) in very windy conditions.  David Newton finished first in his
age category (2hours 31 minutes 12 seconds). Pual Mitton ran his fastest
race over this distance by some 10 minutes to finish in the top 100. (
2.17.48) Other club members completing the 30K race were Pete Newham
(2.23.15) ,Sue Yendley (3.06.13).
