A team of eight runners led by team captain Rob Farrant called Team BRJ Awesome 8  certainly lived up to that title as they  took on the 24 hour relay event at Belvoir Castle on 21st and 22nd September.
Running in relay they completed 31 laps of the demanding 10K course  completing 310km in the 24 hours, the equivalent of seven and a half marathons.  This effort secured the team first place in the large team category out of 113 teams and astoundingly second place out of 909 teams. The team also did two unofficial laps with John Uff and Shelley Duffy running the glory lap in with last runner Robert Farrant. They managed to fit in an early morning parkrun to warm up.
The team included Robert Farrant, John Uff, Shelley Duffy, Chirag Godhania, Andy Philips, Marcela Gracova, John Spencer-Neill and Martin Dawe.
Pictured is the team minus Martin Dawe who retired early due to injury.

James Orrell took time out from supporting his mum and dad in their 24 four relay to take second place in the daytime 10K in a fast 38minutes 36 seconds.

Team BRJ Run and Tri Again completed 21 laps coming 75th in the large team competition.

BRJ Team 11 led by Sue Yendley completed 19 laps and was 98th overall.
