In this area, Ferry Meadows &amp; Huntingdon were the among the only survivors. Annette Newton was the sole BRJ&#8217;er at Ferry Meadows. Huntingdon saw Parkrun Milestones for Nicki McMahon (#50), Mike Gullis &amp; Karen Pye (#100), Helen Richardson (#250), Claire Ashton (#300) &amp; Sue Yendley (#500).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cogwell Canter New Years Eve 5K<\/strong><br \/>\nJust 1 BRJ&#8217;er participated in this Girton based event. Of the 126 finishers, Junior Stanley Coe completed the distance in position 20 in a time of 00:24:13, just short of his existing BRJ 5K PB. Stanley secured the Gold Medal in his Age Category.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Years Eve 10K&#8217;s<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8220;Any&#8221; 10K undertaken on New Years Eve was the final &#8220;Nominated&#8221; event in the 2024 Senior Running Championships. A total of 36 BRJ members participated in 4 local events. Despite the significant wind conditions, all of the races produced some great individual performances including a number of Club PB&#8217;s, all of which counted towards the final day of the Most Running PB&#8217;s competition. Simon Mayes lead home the BRJ 8 with Felicity Baillie 1 place behind. Felicity was the 2nd lady overall &amp; gold medallist in her Age Category. The 2 PB&#8217;ers were:-<\/p>\n<p>i). Robin Cooper &#8211; PB (#20 of 2024) by 35 Secs compared to September 2024&#8217;s Bedford 10K.<\/p>\n<p>ii). The gusting headwind between 6-8K was somewhat challenging although the weather conditions were actually better than in some previous years. Jonathan Harding again led home the BRJ squad. Despite the challenging conditions, 2 BRJ&#8217;ers secured Club 10K PB&#8217;s which were:<\/p>\n<p>i). Neil Whitaker (PB #3) by 21 Secs compared to 2019&#8217;s Peterborough NYE event.<\/p>\n<p>ii). Cameron Taylor-Hall (PB #3) by 1 Min 2 Secs compared to March 2018&#8217;s Thorney 10K.<\/p>\n<p>New member, Michael Keen, made his Club 10K Debut in an excellent time &amp; beating his pre-race estimate by nearly 4 minutes. Amie Taylor-Hall improved on the time she set here in 2023. Adam finished in 61st position in a time of 00:42:3 representing a new Club 10K PB (#25 of 2024) by a 1 Min 16 Sec margin compared to his time set at Eye back in May 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>St Albans New Years Eve 10K<\/strong> &#8211; From the 802 finishers, Alex Mitton led home the 7 BRJ members followed, just 1 place &amp; 3 secs behind by Paul Mitton. Kerry Surkitt was our lead lady. Despite a knee injury sustained during the race, Rachael Dent pressed on to complete the race.
