George Jenner led home the squad in 4th position, Stanley Coe, in 7th, secured a Course Best time (00:09:40) &amp; Sophie Coe was 26th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parkrun 5K<\/strong><br \/>\nBRJ&#8217;ers returned to Bedford, Hellibrunn (Salzburg, Austria), Pocket, Sandringham, The Plens, Weymouth &amp; Woodhouse Moor. 2 BRJ&#8217;ers secured new Club 5K PB&#8217;s. These were:-<\/p>\n<p>i). Catton #503 &#8211; Emma Rigby by 4 Min 17 Secs compared to Black Park Parkrun #728 of 31 August (PB #2 of 2024).<\/p>\n<p>ii). Storeys Field #158 &#8211; Kathy Unwin by a 30 Sec margin compared to Race 1 (Eye) of the 2024 Peterborough Grand Prix of 12 June (PB #5 of 2024).<\/p>\n<p>There were 2 BRJ Parkrun Venue Debuts namely, 3rd place for Simon Moore at the Howard Temin Lakeshore Perth Parkrun (Madison, USA) &amp; by Kerry Surkitt at Pendle which was her 100th different Parkrun Venue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Huntingdon Parkrun #512<\/strong> was the &#8220;Nominated&#8221; event for September in the Senior Running Championships, which saw a significant attendance by 40+ Seniors members. The event saw new Club 5K PB&#8217;s achieved by:-<\/p>\n<p>i). Emily Miller by 18 Secs compared to Bideford Parkrun #2 of 2 April. This was PB #10 of 2024 which makes Emily the current leader in the Senior Women&#8217;s &#8220;Most PB&#8217;s&#8221; competition.<\/p>\n<p>ii). Neil Parker by 1 Min 7 Secs compared to Irchester Country Parkrun #167 of 25 May (PB #2).<\/p>\n<p>Robin Cooper, Adam D&#8217;Souza, Simon Mayes (7th place) &amp; Alex Mitton (4th) all achieved Course Best times. Finally, there were Parkrun Milestones for Richard Stevens (#175), Anna Best (#225) &amp; Annette Newton (#300).<\/p>\n<p>The full set of Senior results that include the Age \/ Gender graded scores Parkrun, will feature in next weeks report.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bourn to Run 10K<\/strong><br \/>\nThe 17th edition of this local run introduced a new route for 2024 which was a reverse of previous years. Of the 128 finishers, Tom Brand completed the course in position 64 in a time of 00:57:38.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zig Zag 1\/2 Marathon (Huntingdon)<\/strong><br \/>\nDarren Butler, in his Debut Club 1\/2 Marathon, finished the laps of Hinchingbrooke Country Park in 17th position in 2:31:15.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thames Tow Path Challenge<\/strong><br \/>\nWith the aim of raising funds to build a new hut for the 1st Somersham Scouts, our Welfare Officer, Emma Stevens, &amp; former club member Georgina Godby took on the Thames Towpath Challenge opting for the 100K (62 miles) in 1 day option.<\/p>\n<p>Their challenge started at London&#8217;s Putney Bridge &amp; headed westwards through Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, Windsor, Marlow &amp; ending in Henley-on -Thames. Of the 733 successful participants, Emma finished in position 700 in a time of 29:33:52.
