Parkrun Junior 2K<\/strong> Herne Bay – George Jenner finished in 4th position overall securing a new Club 2K PB (#3 of 2023) by a 1 Min 6 Sec margin since his run at Cambourne in mid-October.<\/p>\n Jubilee Park – Iris Purser (1st Position) & Alexander Eason were again the sole BRJ Juniors.<\/p>\n Parkrun 5K<\/strong> At Huntingdon, Jonathan Harding secured 3rd position & Juniors Sophie & Stanley Coe both Fenland 10M<\/strong> Beachy Head Marathon<\/strong> Nicola completed the race in position 661 \/ 1,156 finishers in a time of 5:55:06 & achieving an Age \/ Gender Graded score of 38.13% counting towards the 2023 BRJ Senior Running Championships.<\/p>\n Snowdon Marathon<\/strong>

\nmade Club 5K Debuts. Sam Hathaway completed Parkrun #50 & Keith Simmons an amazing #400.<\/p>\n
\n3 BRJ’ers were among the 262 finishers. Lead BRJ’er was Richard Braddick completing his Debut Club 10M in position 91 in a time of 1:18:55. Alice Edwards (position 121 in 1:24:15) & Amanda Roland-Convey in position 124 in 1:24:46) completed the team.<\/p>\n
\nAnother member has joined the exclusive BRJ Marathon “Club”, namely Nicola Sparkes in her Debut Club Marathon, by successfully tackling this iconic event which is the biggest off-road Full Marathon in the UK. It was formerly known as the 7 Sisters Marathon until 2001. The race starts & finishes on a steep hill at the Western end of Eastbourne leading onto the South Downs. The terrain is quite tough in places with a course PB of 2:40:09 & only 40 runners have ever finished in under 3 hours. The landmarks such as Burling Gap, Cuckmere Haven, Belle Tout Lighthouse & the 7 Sisters hills are among many highlights over the course.<\/p>\n
\nKerry Surkitt made a very successful return visit to Snowdon (aka Eryri) over a tough course comprising an 830 Metre elevation gain by finishing 13 minutes faster than her previous outing. Of the 2,228 finishers, Kerry completed the race in position 1,219 in 4:49:18 & securing an Age \/ Gender Graded score of 53.23% towards the Senior Running Champs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
