{"id":4703,"date":"2023-03-10T14:01:34","date_gmt":"2023-03-10T14:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brjrunandtri.org\/wp\/?p=4703"},"modified":"2023-03-10T14:01:34","modified_gmt":"2023-03-10T14:01:34","slug":"latest-results-23-03-08-mike-gullis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brjrunandtri.org\/wp\/?p=4703","title":{"rendered":"Latest Results 23\/03\/08 &#8211; Mike Gullis"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>RUNNING<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Parkrun Junior 2K (5 March)<\/strong><br \/>\nAt Jubilee Park, Eliza Woodcock secured her 2nd Club 2K PB in as many weeks by a 4 Sec margin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parkrun 5K (4 March)<\/strong><br \/>\nThere were BRJ returns to Black Park, Bury St Edmunds, Ferry Meadows (Course PB for Kelsey Crickmore), Hunstanton Promenade, Pocket, Rothway Park, Rushmere, Valentines &amp; Vogries (Scotland).<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Caspersz made a Club Debut at Gunnersbury.<\/p>\n<p>At Huntingdon, Keelan Duffy took 3rd place overall &amp; there were Parkrun milestones for Jim Greenley (#175) &amp; Richard Orrell (#250).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brownlee Centre (Leeds) 5K<\/strong><br \/>\nKeelan Duffy made his debut in the Leeds based Brownlee Centre 5K. The event had a small field of just 42 participants, but with a winners time of 00:14:49 &amp; the 42nd placer just 00:25:04 it was of high quality. Keelan demonstrated his own quality by finishing in 18th position in a new Club PB time (by 7 Secs) of 00:16:04. This was his 4th PB of 2023 &amp; comes just 2 days after his massive 1\/2 Marathon PB at Cambridge.<\/p>\n<p>Keelan is now the 3rd fastest BRJ Man over the 5K distance overtaking John Uff &amp; Keelan now targets the 2nd place time of 00:15:24 currently held by former member Peter Galpin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cambridge 1\/2 Marathon<\/strong><br \/>\n20 BRJ\u2019ers were amongst the 11,382 finishers. Keelan Duffy, in yet another Club PB run, led home our squad in a time of 1:14:27, an improvement of 1 Min 23 Sec PB when compared to the same race in 2022. Our leading lady, also in a PB time, was Felicity Baillie who made a 2 Min 45 Sec improvement compared to her run in 2021\u2019s Cambridge 1\/2.<\/p>\n<p>Other PB\u2019ers were Alice Synge (by 8 Secs) &amp; Chloe Wilson (by 2 Mins 48 Secs). 3 BRJ\u2019ers made Club Distance Debuts, namely Gail Alexander-Cahill, Jim Greenley &amp; Helen Richardson. Our unluckiest athlete was Neil Whitaker who missed out on a new Club PB by just 10 Secs. Starting in Swanage, the route headed towards Weymouth following the upper coastal path &amp; returning via the lower path &amp; passing the picturesque Durdle Door. Of the 261 finishers, Ian completed the course in 53rd position in a time of 2:16:16.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essex 20M<\/strong><br \/>\nThis 4 lap event, based at Carver Barracks (formerly RAF Debden), featured both the Essex &amp; East Anglian Inter-Counties Championships. Paul Mitton &amp; Jonathan Harding were the sole BRJ participants, both securing new Club 20M PB\u2019s. of the 319 finishers, Paul, training for April\u2019s Brighton Marathon finished in position 123 in a time of 2:21:42, a 4 Min 25 Sec PB (#4 of 2023) compared to the time he set in 2021\u2019s Oundle 20M event. Jonathan finished in position 124 in 2:21:45 in a PB by 2 Mins 45 Secs (#2 of 2023) also better than his 2021 Oundle time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oundle 20M<\/strong><br \/>\nThe race was the \u201cNominated\u201d event for March in the 2023 Senior Running Championships. Seb Burley, in his Club 20M debut &amp; training for April\u2019s Rotterdam Marathon, led home the BRJ squad in position 78 of the 392 finishers in a time of 2:34.03. Seb was joined by Amanda Roland-Convey &amp; Annette Newton, both who had ran the Tarpley 20 Miler just 1 week before. Sue Ray completed the BRJ squad.
