Tarpley 20 is a very popular race for those in training for the Spring
\nMarathon Season. BRJ\u00a0 runners in the 10 and 20 mile races\u00a0 faced strong winds and at time driving rain

around the quiet country roads of Essex. Over 20 miles\u00a0 Annette Newton secured a first place in her
\nage category VF65 in 2 hours 54 minutes 55 seconds. Other BRJ members
\nincluded: Alice Synge (2.44.20) Amanda Roland-Convey (2.53.33) a PB, Alice
\nEdwards ( 2.53.31) Dan Ainscow ( 3.29.36) Jacqui Moore (3.51.47).<\/p>\n
Rae Maynard completed the Tarpley 10 in 1hour 43 minutes 25 seconds
\nahead of Jane Ainscow (1.54.26)<\/p>\n

Stamford 30K which was postponed from Sunday 16th February thanks to Storm Dennis. The hilly course was made more challenging by the strong and blustery winds.<\/p>\n
Dave Hudson secured a well earned second place ( 1 hour 43 minutes 54
\nseconds ) in very windy conditions.\u00a0 David Newton finished first in his
\nage category (2hours 31 minutes 12 seconds). Pual Mitton ran his fastest
\nrace over this distance by some 10 minutes to finish in the top 100. (
