{"id":2297,"date":"2020-06-18T10:10:18","date_gmt":"2020-06-18T10:10:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brjrunandtri.org\/wp\/?page_id=2297"},"modified":"2026-04-14T14:05:46","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T13:05:46","slug":"senior-multisport-championships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/brjrunandtri.org\/wp\/?page_id=2297","title":{"rendered":"Senior Multi-Sport Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Senior Multi-Sport Championships<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The BRJ Multi-Sports Championship uses a points-based method that captures the athlete\u2019s performance in the context of the event.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Standard Open\/Women and age groupings will be used.<\/li>\n<li>Separate Triathlon and Duathlon championships will be held.<\/li>\n<li>A set of nominated events (see below), representing a mixture of Triathlon and Duathlon distances will be used for the Multi-Sports Championship.<\/li>\n<li>BRJ athletes can take part in as many events as they like &#8211; the Championship will use the two best scores (Triathlon) or best score (Duathlon) over the year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Scoring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scoring will be based on the athlete\u2019s placing in the event in their age and gender category.<\/li>\n<li>The Multi-Sports Championship will be based on the two best scores achieved in nominated events over the season.<\/li>\n<li>If you compete in both triathlons and duathlons you will be eligible for both awards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nominated Events for 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Box End Triathlon (Sprint, Standard) &#8211; 24 May<\/li>\n<li>Stewartby Triathlon (Sprint, Standard) &#8211; 21 June<\/li>\n<li>St Neots Triathlon Race 2 (Sprint, Standard) &#8211; 8 August<\/li>\n<li>Grafham Triathlon (Sprint, Standard) &#8211; 26 Sept<\/li>\n<li>Grafham Duathlon (Sprint, Standard) &#8211; 25 Oct<\/li>\n<li>One other event of your choice, which can be either Sprint or Standard, Duathlon or Triathlon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Depending on the number of participants, awards may be made for Senior and Vet (40+), or divided into more age groups.
