Strong running by the BRJ Run and Tri Club Juniors brought great results as they swept the board at Kimbolton 2.7Km. on Sunday picking up a total of 14 age category podium places. BRJ took the top 5 positions with James Orrell (14) winning the race and Ellie Loosley (11) in 5th, first home for the ladies. Other juniors competing were 2nd - Reece Millard (1st U17m), 3rd-Liam Conway (1st U11m), 4th-Keelan Duffy (2nd U15m), 7th-Layton Duffy (2nd u13m), 8th-Alex Mitton (3rd u15m), 10th-Freddie Spavins (2nd u11m), 13th-Jemima Davey (1st u9f), 14th-Gaige Duffy (3rd u11m), 16th-Daniel Moore, 17th-Chloe Loosley (1st u17f), 18th-Freya Harris (2nd u9f), 20th-James Loosley (2nd u9m), 23rd-Kira Shipley (1st u15f), 24th-Freddie Elliott and 27th-Isobelle Moore (1st u11f).
In the Kimbolton Half Marathon BRJ David Hudson yet again led home the men finishing in 5th place (1:15:00). This was David's first competitive race for some months having picked up an injury earlier in the season. He said he was pleased with his performance and just delighted to be back running again. Another great race from Shelley Duffy who led home the club's women finishing 10th female overall (1:38:25). Other BRJ seniors competing were for the men: 47th-Mark Elliott 1:33:57, 48th-Marco Wassersleben 1:34:12, 58th-Paul Mitton 1:36:10, 86th-Ian Shipley 1:39:11, 111th-Richard Davies 1:43:26 and for the ladies: 20th-Gillian Peck 1:44:09, 60th-Kathryn Middlehurst 1:57:34, 80th-Sue Yendley 2:01:01, 89th-Joanne Muff 1:44:09.
A podium position was also secured at the Thorney 5 mile race by BRJ Gilles Corby who finished in 41st position (3rd MV50). Other club members in action were 30th- Liam Tharme(17) 31:10, 45th- Chirag Godhania 33:07, 103rd- Alison Orrell 37:52, 153rd- Michael Shaw 42:16, 154th Ian Wilson 42:17 and 220th- Keith Simmons 51:04
