The Stanwick 10km road race is annual event which has been taking place on Easter Monday for over a decade. Starting and finishing in the small Northamptonshire village of Stanwick the race follows a delightful single lap of mostly country roads over undulating terrain. The race is organised and supported by the residents of Stanwick, who allow the roads in the village to be closed for the duration of the race. Any profits from the race are donated to local charities and community organisations. As well as the 10km race there is also a 2km for 8 - 15 year olds (see Stanwick Race Group website www.stanwickraces.org.uk for entry details) and community run stalls and refreshments at the start/finish.
