The course starts with a flat 1 km along one of the estate roads before turning sharply right and heading across undulating parkland. There is a short, sharp climb to the 2 km marker and the highest point of the run. Then we take a gentle downhill jog towards the lake passing the 3 km marker as we run along its edge. The course then climbs slightly, back towards Wimpole Hall where the end is in reach, if not yet quite in sight. Running along the side of the Hall, we then turn back onto the estate road for about 500 metres before a sprint across a field to the finish.
Trail shoes are recommended as areas of the course wil be muddy at times. Due to the historical and ecological sensitivity of the estate, running spikes must NOT be used.
