After months of hard work and fund raising, Suzie Hall and her team have secured parkrun for Huntingdon! Congratulations Suzie! The first run will be on Saturday 13th April at 9am. For those who haven't come across parkrun before, they are free, weekly, 5km timed runs taking place in parks every Saturday morning at 9am around the world. The snowy weather held off sufficiently long enough to give the 574 Frostbite competitors some magnificent running conditions that resulted in significant number of great performances at all levels for the BRJ squad.

The Elliott clan continue to produce record breaking performances and this time it was Paula’s turn as she attained “Ladies Champion” status for this venue, bettering the time set by Jackie Wren in 2012 by just over 1 minute.

For the second year in succession, the BRJ squad walked away with medals from the County Cross Country Champs held in Priory Park, St Neots.

Lauren Elliott picked up a well earned individual bronze medal finishing nine seconds clear of fourth place. Lauren was ably supported by Charlotte Orugboh and Alice Holmes both in their debut County Champs.

The wet weather over the preceding weeks meant that parts of the usual course around the main lake were flooded and so the “alternative” (Dry!) course had to be utilised.Despite some concerns that our Christmas Party the previous evening would significantly reduce our attendance, the BRJ members showed the Dunkirk spirit, and attended in great numbers, although some individuals had to limit themselves to spectating. The muddy conditions produced great performances from both teams, with a significant number running in...Read more
