Sunday saw the last in this seasons Frostbite Friendly League race hosted by us at Hinchingbrooke School. As usual the junior race started things off with an excellent turn out and some of the junior sporting painted faces, BRJ go faster stripes all except Oliver Wood who in his last Frostbite as a junior had what looked like a tiger face. The stripes worked for the junior too, as they ran well and came fifth on the day and finished and excellent fifth overall for the season. Well done!
Not to be out done by the youngster the BRJ seniors also ran excellent races and finished 5...Read more
The race was run in what was definitely the coldest day of the year with very thick layer of frost and foggy conditions which did not improve the whole day.
A number of our Junior and Senior competitors were making their debut at any "Champs" event and so were fairly nervous about whether they were "up to the task". The cold and uncomfortable conditions probably did nothing to quell these concerns. There should have been no self-doubt as all of our athletes performed as best as they could on the day.

Sunday was round three of the annual Frostbite friendly league held at Hinchingbrooke Country Park with Hunts AC as the hosts. It was a fantastic turnout by BRJ’ers both juniors and seniors. The seniors had an amazing 63 runners which must be close to a record turnout for us. The juniors chipped in with 24 runners.

But is doesn’t stop there. In a remarkable weekend of personal bests 15 out of 18 juniors’ recorded personal bests for the 3k distance. That’s an amazing total...Read more
We are now two races into the frostbite season with the next race at Hinchingbrooke Park and staged by the Hunts AC club on the 14th December.
Last year BRJ Seniors finished in 12th place overall and the juniors in their first year as a formalised club saw them achieve a fantastic 4th place just missing out on the podium finish. So far this year the juniors are in 5th overall (a better start that this point last year) and the seniors are up in 8th place after the first two races which is a fantastic improvement.
