Ellie Loosley led home the ladies at the local Riverside Runners 2k fun run this Sunday. Ellie came seventh in an amazing time of 8.19. Hot on her heels was brother James who led the BRJ boys home in a time of 8.39 with Joshua Gardner finishing in 10.37.

Conditions on the 10k were hot and windy and the seniors were led home by Rhyse Plummer-Coles in 16th place and an impressive 39.48, Anna Douglas led home the ladies in a brilliant 46.30. On a very warm and sunny Sunday, 15 BRJers earned their afternoon beers at the Eye 10k.  Our BRJ ladies did briliiantly, they scored third overall in the ladies team race; Annette Newton, Shelley Duffy and Sarah Jane Gardiner scoring for the ladies.  Annette and Sarah Jane also won their respective age categories fininshing in 53.42 and 49.16, really brilliant times on such a hot day!  

Leading home the BRJ gents was Marco Wassersleben in 43.57, followed  by Chirag Godhania and Paul Loosely.

On Sunday 1st May a number of BRJ Run & Tri Seniors and Juniors took to the fields of Fen Drayton to participate in the 10km and funrun.
The sun was defiantly shining on them as we had Chloé Loosley come home in first place, Alice Holme 2nd female and 3rd overall, Ellie Loosley was the 3rd female across the line and finally William Lawrence came home as 3rd Male.

May Bank holiday sunshine brought runners of all ages to Jubilee park in Huntingdon for the BRJ Mayor of Huntingdon Charity Race. Now in its third year this event has raised thousands of pounds which support local charities. Families and  friends  ran together in the Fun Run , a mile and a half course round the Jubilee park fields. Bill Hensley Mayor of  Huntingdon Town Council thanked everyone for coming along to support the races and the charities they support. Rosie Swale Pope is hosting an evening at Hinchingbrooke Performing Arts Centre in Huntingdon on May 4th 2016. Rosie is the only person to have run around the entire world. A run that covered over 20,000 miles and took almost five years. She faced extreme danger, bitter Siberian winters, wolves, axe men and desolate loneliness to finish her journey.
