The BRJ Beginner’s Programme has been running for several years and is based upon sound principles of running fitness and style.

The Cambridgeshire County Schools' Championships took place on Saturday 16th of January at the King’s school in Ely. 

BRJ fielded a total of 12 athletes who all represented their respective schools. There were some amazing performances from our juniors. The course was hilly and muddy and several athletes ended up running in socks as they lost their shoes in the mud.  

The day kicked off with the Minor Girls' event which was run over a distance of 2500m.  Bea Pauley, Kira Shipley and Lilly O’Dell competed in this event with Bea and Kira finishing in the top 14....Read more

As ever, the teams achieved a large number of venue PBs in both events. It was a colder and windier day of late but luckily very much improved on the horrible weather from the previous week’s Cambridgeshire XC Champs.



The juniors fielded their highest attendance this season with 26 runners. This great turnout led them to third place an improvement on 2104 and 2015 when they finished fourth. Free to all BRJ Run and Tri members

Are you preparing or your first marathon or thinking of taking on this challenge? Have you run the 26 miles and 385 yards before but would like to complete the distance faster or a bit easier? Have your preparations been hampered by injury? 

This workshop provides all club members an opportunity to learn from experienced marathon runners and each other about all aspects of running a marathon. This includes:

The under 11 boys kicked off the champs and saw great team-packing resulting in a bronze medal for Team BRJ and PBs for both Dominic Pauley and Livio Mosca. The under 11 girls’ event saw two of the three BRJers finish within the top ten.


Keelan Duffy and Ed Cochrane PBd in the U13 boys as did Lauren Elliott in the U13 girls’ event in which BRJ managed a fourth place team. The combined finish time for the BRJ team was EXACTLY the same as the team given the bronze medal position, but their total finish positions were just slightly better.
