Stamford St Valentines 30K Sunday 11th February
There was little romance in the air as over 600 runners lined up at the start of this race over a hilly 30-kilometre course. The near freezing temperatures were enhanced by strong gusting winds. Lincoln runner Aaron Scott took first place in
1 hour 44 minutes with BRJ runner David Hudson just over three minutes behind in second place. A standout performance from Rob Farrant brought him in in the top 40 places 2 hours 3 minutes. Husband and wife Ed and Sabrina Crothall (2.10.44 and 2.23.18) were just over 10 minutes apart, while Annette Newton finished second in her age category FV65 (2.48.15).
The senior men’s team were placed 5th overall and the women’s team were in 8th position.
